The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a set of questions to the state municipal affairs and urban development department and the West Bengal Municipal Service Commission as part of its investigation into the multi-crore municipality recruitment case.
The ED has requested information on past recruitments, recruitment processes, and outsourced agencies. The probe was initiated after incriminating documents were found during a raid related to the school recruitment case.
The ED charge sheet alleges that CIL collected significant sums of money in both school and municipality recruitment cases.
The Calcutta High Court has allowed the ED's probe to continue despite opposition from the state government.
